Hi everyone, how are you all this morning? I hope that you’re all well.
Today I wanted to get all nostalgic and look at some random stuff from my childhood. And what better way to do that than steal somebody’s tag and answer the questions! The questions that I found were on Hideaway Girl’s Blog, which did look really lovely.
The Rules for this tag are:
1.) Make sure to thank the person who tagged you and leave a link to their blog
2.)Answer all of the questions, if you don’t know just leave the question.
3.) Remember to copy and paste the lame (I think it’s a really cute) picture and rules!
4.) Have a good time>:D
5.) Tag as many people as you want! You are never limited.
Let’s get started!
What are some of the tv shows you remember watching as a child?
I grew up in the late 80’s and 90’s so I pretty much lived on CITV and Disney afternoon. Some standout shows were of course Gargoyles and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I also really loved The Moomins and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I also grew up on Tom and Jerry which I still love to this day. I remember having this VHS tape at my Grandmas that used to get switched on every time i went over.
What were the classic movies?
As a child I had quite a twisted mind. Nothing has changed. I loved Watership Down and Jaws. I actually felt sorry for the shark at the end.
One of the first films I remember watching at the cinema was Beauty and the Beast, although i do remember seeing Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I’m not sure which one was first really.
Oh and I absolutely loved the Jazz Singer; the one with Neil Diamond. If I can find the photo of me fist pumping to America, I’ll post it on Instagram. I loved that movie so much!
What movies you remember watching?
Definitely all the above ones. I also grew up on Disney movies.
Best memories about being little?
I have so many great memories from my childhood, but I really loved how close my family was back then and spending every saturday with my Gran and my cousins. All our parents worked on a weekend so we spent the weekend playing dressup at our Gran’s. Yes, that is me with the giant bloomers on my head!
4. Some of the things you did when you were little?
Apart from wearing a pair of giant granny pants that Bridget Jones’ would be ashamed of as a hat, I used to go on ‘adventures’ around the little wood by our old house with my older cousins. We would just go exploring, and always be home for dinner. I remember me and my sister spending a lot of time with our parents on days out. We always went somewhere there was a decent walk from what I remember.
I also had a dolls house that was made out of ply wood. My Dad had actually made this for me. Unfortunately it did fall apart and got replaced by a Play Mobil one when we could afford it. This is actually still in the loft for when either me or Laura have our own children.
5. Some philosophy from your childish “Socrates”. Jk just list some things that you used to think.
When I reached year 3 my teacher was engaged but she always called him fiance. To this day, I don’t know his name. Therefore my child brain thought his name was Fiance. Yeah….. Luckily this was recitified when another teacher called her fiance and then told us his name. Only then did I realise it was a title and not a name. Oops!
6. What was your favourite toy?
I still have her. Her name is Snowy and she is a stuffed cat that rattles. She’s a bit worn out now but I still love her. She used to go everywhere with me, including trips to Florida.
7.games that you played?
Before getting video games, me and my friends used to play a lot of games in the street like kirby or knocky nine doors. In the playground we used to play British Bulldog or What Time is it Mr Wolf. Oh and Tiggy Scarecrow. I’m pretty certain some of these have been banned now because they were quite brutal games. But they were brillaint back in the 90s.
And that is the end of the tag. I’m going to pick:
If you would like to give it a try, you’re also welcome to take part.
I hope that you enjoy this tag guys, and I’ll look forward to reading your answers!
Bye for now!
