My Foundation Collection

We all have products that we hold onto for quite a long time. Some are possibly past their expiration date, but we keep them anyway. That statement is probably the most true when it comes to foundations. I’m quite a foundation hoarder. However, they do all get used from time to time, and I’m always on the hunt for the perfect foundation.

Today I wanted to share my entire foundation collection, and let you know which ones that I would consider repurchasing, and which ones are a pass.

Urban Decay All Nighter: This is full coverage and surprisingly hydrating for a matte coverage product. I do like this, and may possibly buy this again in the Winter. It’s ideal for those days of very intense redness in my skin.

Bare Minerals Ready: This is a compact foundation this gives a nice glowy finish for a matte foundation. This is a medium to full coverage product that applies beautifully. And I would always repurchase this if it hadn’t been discontinued; and this makes me very sad.

Lancome Teint Idole Cushion: This is a satin finish, full coverage foundation with amazing coverage. This is surprisingly long lasting for a cushion foundation. My only gripe is that the product doesn’t last really long for the price. I might not buy this product again even though I love it. I may save my money and buy the original Teint Idole product.

Nars Sheer Glow: This is a beautiful satin finish foundation with a medium coverage. It just feels gorgeous on the finish and makes me look quite radiant when I wear it. I’ve already repurchased this a few times, and it’s a firm favourite.

Bare Minerals Original: I love this foundation; it is a glowy mineral foundation that can be build from a light to full coverage finish. It’s so easy to use and covers up a number of skin sins. Again, I’m onto my tenth container of this; it’s a repurchase legend.DSCN4319

Clinique Superbalance Silk: This is quite hydrating and gives a nice full coverage, matte finish. However this does cake around my nose, which is my big problem area. I can think of better fuller coverage foundations that do go around my nose a bit better, so this won’t be a repurchase any time soon.

Dior Diorskin Cushion: This is a dewy finish medium coverage foundation. Yes, you do get a little bit more product, but the product doesn’t travel as far on your brush as some other cushion foundations, therefore the extra product doesn’t really last that much longer. This was an expensive product, so I will not be buying this anytime soon. Nope!

Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint: This is a tinted moisturiser and it is beautiful. This is one of my go-to products in the summer, or on great skin days. It just looks so glowy on the skin. I will definitely repurchase this in the Summer if this one runs out by then; I really love it!

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue: Like the Liz Earle tinted moisturiser, this looks amazing on the skin. This does give a slight bit more coverage and really adds some extra needed moisture to my dehydrated skin on a night shift. I will definitely repurchase this in the future.

Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder: This is a dewy, medium coverage foundation. I do actually prefer this to the Magic foundation. This looks really natural on the skin and lasts a reasonable amount of time on the skin. It’s not a firm favourite, but I may treat myself to this again in the future.DSCN4323

L’Oreal True Match: This is a medium to full coverage satin finish foundation. This gives a lot of radiance to the skin and is really long-lasting. I do love this but I think my skin is a little bit irritated by it, so I may need to pass this on. This really upsets me because I love how this looks on my skin.

Rimmel Match Perfection: This is a medium coverage, dewy finish foundation. I love how this looks and although it applies quite dark at first, it does dry to be quite a natural colour. I may repurchase this again one day.

The Body Shop Fresh Nude Foundation: This is a dewy, medium coverage foundation. This looks beautiful on my skin for a few hours, but wears away pretty quickly. I have tried this quite a few times, and as much as I love Body Shop makeup normally, this isn’t a favourite, so I’m going to pass on repurchasing this again.

No7 Lift and Illuminate: This is the newest foundation the collection, although I couldn’t find it for the photograph. This is a dewy, glowing medium to full coverage foundation. It looks flawless. It’s quite long-lasting and does help reduce the look of fine lines on my skin. Yeah, I don’t have many, but I was noticing them around my mouth and eyes. It’s early days, but I will probably repurchase this again one day.

Yes, I have quite a few foundations, but after this, I did have a clearout, and I’ve managed to reduce my collection quite a lot.

What is your current favourite foundation?

Have a lovely day!
