One of the great things to come out of No-Spend April is the fact that I’m beginning to use a few things up. There is quite a mix of things here, and some of them, I can’t actually believe that they have reached their ends.
The first empty to say goodbye to the dressing table is a foundation. The Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue is a beautiful foundation for very de-hydrated skin, which mine has been lately. I have been pushing my matte foundations aside and opting for less coverage, dewy finish products. I used the last of this this morning, and I will be repurchasing this very soon.
I have also finished two concealers; both under-eye ones. One being the Bare Minerals Stroke of Light and the other being the darker shade of Superdrug’s BB Eye Cream. I already have both of these ready on standby in the drawer ready for use. They are everyday staples, and I love them a lot.
I finally reached the bottom of the L’Oreal Colour Protection Shampoo and Conditioner bottles. This wasn’t the best shampoo. Although it did protect the colour in my hair, I did find that my hair became quite fussy and difficult to manage at times after using this. I did have to use other products to tame my mane for the past month. But for helping coloured hair lasting as long as possible, this was brilliant.
I do have one perfume that has reached the last squirt too; Marc Jacob’s Honey. This is my favourite scent, and this bottle has lasted so long! I will be buying this again soon since it is one of my favourites to wear in the Summer.
I have used up two primers too; one being my trusty Body Shop Instablur, and the other Smashbox Photofinish Primer. Both of these left a really smooth surface for foundation to cling to, and I do feel that these did help my foundation last longer on my skin. I have loved using them both.
I also have a bronzer, which did have a tiny bit of product left, however it’s gotten to that crumbly stage where it’s impossible to use without getting bits on your face, so it’s officially at it’s end; and that is the Urban Decay Beached Bronzer. I love this bronzer. It gives such a natural summery glow without being over the top.
Surprisingly, I have one lipstick empty; Nars Audacious Lipstick in Anna. I loved this colour, and it was a sad day when this reached the bottom of the packaging. One day, when my collection has dwindled a bit, I will repurchase this colour; it’s beautiful!
Those are all of my empties so far. I’m sure that there will be more as the months go one.
I hope that you all have a lovely day, and I’ll see you soon.
