The Best Liquid Lipstick

Hi everyone how are you?

I did fall off the wagon the other day and did purchase something. But it’s okay, I’m not giving up on No-Spend April. I just started again the next day.

One of the things that I did buy that day was a new liquid lipstick. I have a love-hate relationship with most formulas of liquid lipsticks. They are either too drying or smudge really easily on me. The only formulas that I liked prior to this discovery are Bare Minerals and Body Shop.

This is the Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick. They retail at £19 and still have the classic black matte lid of the other lip products from Smashbox. You can see the colour through a clear plastic barrel too, which is handy. They look really pretty.

I did only purchase one liquid lipstick, and I chose the shade Big Spender, which is a beautiful deep warm mauve shade. It looked beautiful in the packaging, and I thought it went well with my new darker hair.

The formula does apply really smoothly, and is extremely opaque. One swipe is enough to cover your entire lip easily, and these are a true matte. It is actually very hydrating for the type of finish that it is, and doesn’t wrinkle up on your lips after a few hours. It does look very flattering.

These liquid lipsticks are extremely long-lasting and don’t smudge to funny areas around my face. They just. don’t. budge! They truly are amazing.

This is definitely a formula that I would recommend if you have had bad experiences with liquid lipsticks in the past.

Have a lovely day!

  1. I might need to check this out, the thing that holds me back from liquid lipsticks is that they always wrinkle up my lips, it’s a gorgeous colour.
