Autumn Court Inspired Makeup Tutorial

This has got to be my favourite ACOTAR inspired look so far!

Today’s look is a one inspired by one of the courts that we haven’t really been to, but we’ve met quite a few characters from there including Lucien, one of the main characters from the first novel. I did originally want to base this look around him, but I couldn’t find any fancy eye patches. So I have made this a very warm-toned Autumnal makeup look.

Face

For my face, I used the same foundation from my Winter Court tutorial; the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear, and buffed a lighter layer into my skin. Under my eyes I blended out some of Bare Mineral’s Stroke of Light concealer, setting it using the Bourjois Rice Powder.

I did want to keep things really warm and bronzed, therefore, I mixed my Models Own Sculpt and Glow Matte Contour in Deep Tan with Dior’s Diorskin Nude Glow Powder in the shade 01. Together these gave quite a natural bronzed glow to my face.

For blush, I dusted a very light coating of Nars’ Dolce Vita blush to my cheek bones, keeping away from the apples of my cheeks slightly.

For highlighter I did glow all out using Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop. Could this really have been anything else?

I set my face using Smashbox’s Primer Water, which really helped melt things together.

Eyes

I had a lot of fun designing this really warm coppery eye look!

I kept my brows very natural and untamed using the Eyelure Fleur de Force Brow Tamer.

Again, I primed my lids using the Body Shop’s Instablur Eyes Primer, and set it with MT020 from the Zoeva Matte Spectrum Palette.

In my crease, I slowly built up the warm orange shades with MT030, MT050, MT060 and MT080 (all war-toned orange shades). I blended these out to look very soft and neat. I didn’t want any harsh edges.

On the actual lid, I used the Jeffree Star Androgyny Palette, mixing Dominatrix with Fetish to create a base for any shimmer. I blended out the edges into the crease shades already there. Then on a damp flat brush, I packed the shade Deja Vu onto my upper lid, blending out the edges once again.

On my lower lash line, I mixed the shades Charm, Dominatrix and Fetish to creast a soft smoky eyeshadow look.

I did use a black kohl liner in my waterline, partly because I didn’t have a brown one, but the black didn’t look too bad with this look. I used Charlotte Tilbury’s Rock n’ Kohl Liner on my upper and lower waterline.

To create the Double Wing, I used Ciate’s Fierce Flicks Eyeliner.

For mascara, I kept the drama by using Urban Decay’s Perversion and Subversion Mascaras.

Lips

For my lips I used a matte liquid lipstick, Smashbox’s Always on Liquid Lipstick in Big Spender. I love this colour a lot!

And that is my Autumn Court Inpsired makeup look. What do you think?

Have any of you read ACOTAR yet; please let me know what you think of these books in the comments if you have.

Take care everyone!
