Elain Archeron Inspired Makeup Tutorial

But Elain, the flower-grower, the gentle heart… Nesta would go down swinging for her.

I wanted to continue my countdown to ACOWAR series with one of the few human characters in the series, Feyre’s sister Elain. Elain is the gentler sister who likes to spend time in the garden. She often relies on her sisters for protection and wants to find a man to marry her. She hasn’t played a big part yet, but I think that she will be a major character in the final book.

I kept her makeup quite natural and dewy because I can’t imagine Elain wearing a full face of intense makeup.

For foundation, I used the No7 Lift and Luminate to keep my face looking quite fresh and youthful. Under my eyes I did apply a small amount of the Superdrug BB Eye Cream. I melted this into my skin using a damp beauty sponge.

I set my base using the Bourjois Rice Powder, which does have very fine particles of glitter in it to help give subtle illumination to the skin.

As Elain probably spends a lot of time in the sun whilst she’s planting flowers, I bronzed up my face using the Liz Earle Radiant Glow Bronzer. I buffed it out into a figure of three shape on both sides of my face and down my neck slightly.

For blush, I used the Lancome Cushion Blush in Sorbet Grenadine on a stippling brush, blending it out onto the apples of my cheeks, and up towards my ear.

On top of my cheek bones I dabbed a small amount of Nars Multiple Stick in Copacabana using my finger.

My eyebrows have been looking really sparse lately, so I filled them in using the Benefit Precisely Brows Pencil, and set them into shape using the clear gel, Ready Set Brows from Benefit.

For eyeshadow, I took the Urban Decay’s Ultimate Basics Palette and swept the shade Instinct across the lid. I blended out the edges to not look too harsh. Then to darken the crease slightly, I took the shade Lethal and blended this out to be really soft. I also took these shades and blended them out along my lower lash line.

On a liner brush, I packed Lethal into my lash line. I then took the shade Blow and dabbed this onto my inner corner.

To finish off the eyes, I used the Rimmel Volume shaker mascara for a defined natural lash look.

To finish off the look I used the Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Speak Your Mind.

And that is the finished look. I have one of the other courts coming in another few days.

I hope that you’re all having a good day.

Bye for now!
