Dawn Court Inspired Makeup Tutorial

We are less than two weeks away to release date now and I still have seven tutorials that I want to fit in.

This one is based on the Dawn Court, so I’ve tried to use sunrise shades in both the eyes and lips.

For foundation, I used a more sheer foundation than normal. I used the Dior Diorskin Cushion Foundation with a buffing brush. Under my eyes, I used the Liz Earle Perfect Fix Concealer. I set everything using the Bare Minerals Hydrating Veil mixed with the Original Concealer for a tad extra coverage.

For bronzer, I used the Bare Minerals Warmth, keeping things quite diffused around my cheeks and forehead.

On the apples of my cheeks I swept a light layer of Bare Minerals Golden Gate Blush for a slight touch of colour.

I wanted the highlighter to be quite golden so I used the Laura Mercier Face Illuminator Powder in Indiscretion.

Since the eyes were quite a colourful smoky eye, I filled in my brows, attempting to make them quite neat using my usual brow products.

For the eyes, I used the IΒ β™₯ Makeup Makeup Geek Palette. I first swept a matte bone shade all across my lid as a base. Then in the crease, I used the brighter navy blue shade, building it up slowly to quite an intense shade of blue. Then, slightly under that, I applied a lighter matte black shade. I also used these same shades along my lower lash line too, but added a matte dark brown.

I then used the Jeffree Star Skin Frost in Dark Horse on a damp brush and packed that onto the lid. I did buff the edge out slightly, but I did want this to look like a cut crease slightly.

In my inner corner, I placed a small amount of the Nyx Eye Lingerie in Whimsy.

I ran a small amount of the cream Lasting Liner from Bare Minerals along my lower waterline, and a very thin line of Bourjois’ Feline Liner along my upper lash line. I finished off the eyes using a few layers of Lancome’s Hypnose Drama Mascara.

To finish off the look I used a dark plum liquid lipstick from Nyx. The shade was called Subversive Socialite from the Liquid Suede collection. It’s such a pretty colour, which I probably would wear quite a bit.

And that is the finished look.

I hope that you’re enjoying the series so far. It’s nearly over.

Bye for now!
