Amren Inspired Tutorial

She’s Your Mate not your spy…. Go get her!

Amren is one of the best female characters in the book. She is hilarious and also a very dangerous character. She is described as being very vain but loyal to her friends. And one of her traits is that she likes to collect trinkets such as gold and rubies.

I did try to hunt out my black wig for this but I couldn’t find it, so unfortunately, Amren has red hair! However, I did incorporate some of the other things that make Amren, Amren in the makeup look.

Face

I kept Amren’s face quite pale at first by using the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation, followed by the Urban Decay Naked Concealer under my eyes. I set this using the Bourjois Rice Powder.

As Amren is described as being quite tanned, I did use a mixture of my Body Shop Honey Bronzer with the Dior Air Nude Powder in 001. This gave quite a subtle bronzed glow to my cheeks.

For blush, I used an old favourite in the form of Models Own’ Rock n’ Rosy Blush in Sienna. Over this I used one of my more glowy highlighters; Models Own Sculpt and Glow Highlighter in Golden Sand.

Eyes

For the eyes, I wanted to keep things quite bare, apart from a very defined winged liner. Therefore, I filled in my eyebrows quite heavily (although still natural) using the benefit Ka-Brow brow pommade and I dusted a neutral light brown eyeshadow in the crease of my eye.

For the wing, I first drew a black wing using the Bourjois Feline Liner pen then topped this with a deep gold shade from the I ♥ Makeup Golden Bar Palette, using a damp liner brush. I then took the same gold along my lower lash line.

I finished off my eyes by using a few layers of Urban Decay’s Perversion mascara.

Lips

I always imagine Amren having a dark red lipstick. It could be the fact that she drinks blood, or the fact that she puts red lipstick on Feyre at some point in the book… either way, I wanted a red matte lip for her. Therefore, I first lined my lips using Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Cheat in Savage Rose. Over this I then applied Smashbox’s Be Legendary Lipstick in Made It. I did want to use Urban Decay’s Bad Blood, but I couldn’t find it. However, the Smashbox one made a fab dupe.

And that is my Amren. Next up is Mor.

Have a lovely day guys!
