First Impressions of New(ish) Releases

I did a little bit of shopping the other day and picked up some newish releases from a few higher end brands…. and one from Nivea.

I did buy more than this, but I couldn’t fit all the lip products on my face as much as I wanted to. However, I have some initial thoughts on these items.

Nars Narsissist Loaded Palette

This is what I initially went to the Metro Centre to buy. I’ve always wanted one of the Narsissist palettes but they tend to sell out quickly. Luckily this one was still available and it had 10% off. Lucky me! The palette looks beautiful and every shade is wearable. There is a good mix of mattes and shimmer so you can get a full eye look just using this. The shades feel very buttery smooth and blend really seamlessly onto the lids. It truly is a thing of beauty. And I love it how one of the shades is named Alnwick. It’s a little thing, but I love it.

Lancome Matte Juicy Shakers

These are beautiful! I wasnt expecting them to be so pigmented but they really area. I have nothing else on my lips except the shade Kiss Me Cherie which is a beautiful deep rosy red. I also bought the shade Beige Vintage, which I can’t wait to try. These dry down super quick and stayed put for quite a long time. I will do a proper longevity test one day, but for now I’m really impressed. Another thing; they are so hydrating and feel really comfortable.

Pur Fully Charged Mascara

I’ve heard a few people talk about this on youtube. I think Jessica Braun says it’s one of her favourites. And since I have very skimpy lashes, anything that claims to make them look longer is worth a try. I applied three coats and think this looked amazing on my lashes. They did look longer and still quite fluttery. Nothing clumped and it didn’t irritate my eyes which some mascaras can do. I really like this so far.

Lancome Sourcils Styler

The wand for this intrigued me. It’s such a cute little brush in a very weird shade. However it did give me a really cool look for me brows. I have been wearing my brows quite messy lately since I started growing them out and since this caught every little hair, it made them look messy in a good way. They looked relatively thick and still looked like natural hairs. I really liked this too.

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Eyeshadow

This has been such a hyped up product over the past few months, and I can see why. These are so glittery but in a nice way. I really wanted the shade Kitten too, but that was out of stock. I will get it next month! This looked beautiful. It added just enough pop to the lid without being over the top crazy glitter. It looked very pretty. And once it dried to my lids, I couldn’t budge it. So I can imagine this staying on my lids until I cleanse my face tonight. That’s what you want in an eyeshadow!

Pur Triple Threat Mascara

This mascara is so thin! However it somehow works. I bought this solely to use on my lower lash line and it works so well. I really struggle to find my lower lashes since they are so fair, and with bigger mascara brushes, this process can make a mess. This was so precise and so neat, it made this part of doing my makeup so quick. I may have a new favourite.

Nivea Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm

I did buy this before but didn’t give it a go because my Dad pinched it thinking it was for him. I didn’tdare say that I was using it for a primer. Luckily this one is now safe in my dressing table. On first use, I can see why people like using this as primer. It leaves a brilliant tacky base for foundation, and did actually help myΒ base products stay put a lot longer.

And that is my full first impressions of these products. I am so impressed with every single product and I can’t wait to use them more.

Have you tried any of these products? What were your thoughts on them?

Have a brilliant day guys; take care!

      1. I’m actually really loving the collection’s primed and ready primer. It feels so similar to smashbox’s photofinish. I do really like porefessional too but haven’t used it in ages xx
