Since purchasing a vanity table, I have noticed that I’m using a lot more products quite regularly throughout the month; and I’m really struggling to select my monthly favourites at the end of each month. Therefore, from now on, I will be picking five favourites at the end of each week to chat about. Hopefully this will keep these sort of posts a lot shorter in the future.
So let’s get started on what I’ve been loving so far in June.
Body Shop Life Is…. Eau de Toilette
This is a really subtle, fresh scent. It’s not too sweet but it smells wonderful. On days where I just want a small spritz of something refreshing, I have been reaching for this. I also really like the name. The majority of products from The Body Shop are now named after places. I quite like how this stands out with such an unusual name.
Collection Primed and Ready Mattifying Pore Minimiser
If you want a cheap dupe for the Smashbox Photofinish primer, this is fantastic. It smooths out any pores and has helped my foundation last throughout the day. This also has witch hazel in the formula, which can reduce blemishes over time. It feels so comfortable and has been a really lovely primer.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
This has been my go-to foundation for almost two weeks. It looks amazing on the skin and adds a very healthy glow to the skin. Although this looks quite a medium to full-coverage foundation, it still looks like your skin, only better. I wore this on a dinner date the other day, and my makeup lasted really well sat next to a window on a scorching hot day. I was really impressed with it’s staying power!
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lovesick
I did buy a few more liquid lipsticks the other day, and this shade has surpassed Lolita as my favourite. It is a really pretty cool-toned mauvy pink. I love the colour and have worn it pretty much everyday. It lasts a really long time; and it’s kiss proof! I will be doing a post on kiss-proof lipsticks in the near future if you are interested in other transfer-proof lip formulas.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Rennaisance
My final favourite is a recent purchase. I has seen this palette get hyped up on the internet for the past few months. I finally gave into the hype and bought it. And yes, the hype really is worth it. The pigment is amazing; and it blends like butter. My favourite shade is actually Venetian Red, which surprises me because until recently I avoided pink tones on my eyes. However certain bloggers have convinced me to experiment more with colour, which I am loving. If you haven’t picked this up yet, definitely do. It’s worth every penny!
What products have you been loving this week?
Have a lovely day guys!
