It’s been a couple of months but I feel ready for a new relationship. By the time this post goes live, the date will have been, but at this moment, I’m looking forward to it. And it’s been a really long time since I created a date look on this blog, so I wanted to share this one.
Everything has been kept quite neutral, but still with a subtle bit of shimmer on the eyes.
I didn’t want anything too heavy because we’re actually going to Beamish Wild; an obstacle course in the trees. It sounds fun, and it’s definitely something different. So this makeup does need to be sweat proof.
This isn’t my actual date look. That will be posted on Monday. This is a practice. However, my final look was very similar.
For foundation, I used the New Look No Shine Mattifying Foundation. I use the shade Neutral Beige if you are a similar skin tone to myself. I did found the shades a bit weird in the shop. Under my eyes, I blended out a bit of the Liz Earle Light Reflecting Concealer. I set my face using the New Look High Definition Finishing Face Powder, which does feel really lovely on the skin.
For bronzer, I used an old favourite; the Models Own Sculpt and Glow Matte Bronzer in Deep Tan. This gives such a pretty glow without being over the top. I concentrated this under my cheekbones and down my neck.
As for blush, I used the Warm Almond shade from the Models Own Rock n’ Rosy collection followed by the MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter in Radiant Cashmere.
On my brows, I kept things very light, and filled them in slightly using the Benefit Precisely Brows Pencil.
For eyeshadow, I took the Nars Narsissist Loaded Palette, first taking the shade Windsor to set and prime the eye area. In the crease, I gradually built up the shades Foix and Castille to create a coppery base. On the lid, I then packed a light layer of Beaumaris, and softened the edges into the crease slightly.
On my lower lashline, I used a touch of Castille to match things up with the upper lid. In the inner corner, I dabbed a tiny amount of Newbury Street to highlight slightly.
As for liner, I smoked my upper lash line out slightly using the shade Reale.
To finish off the eyes, I applied a few coats of the Pur Fully Charged Mascara and Triple Threat Mascara to create the illusion of thick long lashes.
Can I just say that I love, love LOVE this lip colour! I first applied the shade Orchid from the New Look Matte Lipstick Collection, then topped this off with the New Look High Shine Lip Glaze in the shade Muted Berry. Together, these looked amazing. I love the shape of the bullet of the lipstick, it hugged the lips perfectly, creating a beautiful lip in one swipe. I am in love with it!
So that is my slightly natural first date look. What sort of makeup do you guys like to wear on dates? Does it differ in any way to your regular makeup?
Have a lovely day guys!
