Makeup of the Day

Why so serious???

I am determined to get my money’s worth out of the Natasha Denona palette. Even though it is such a bright and colourful collection of shades, you can still wear them in a very natural way. I created this purple smoky eye using the shades Aubergine, Smoke and Cool Plum in the crease, followed by Maroon, Smoky Plum and Vintage on the lid and lash line. I used a hint of Piggy to highlight the inner corner too. I just find this palette so blendable and really easy to use. It’s slowly easing it’s way to being worth the money.

For the remainder of my face, I used mostly Lancome products. Lancome was one of the first brands I started using after Clinique betrayed me back in my teenage years. Yes, they are pricey products but the quality is amazing. As they listen to their audience, Lancome’s formulas are improving and they have more products suitable for younger people too. I am falling in love with the brand all over again. I am especially loving the Teint Miracle Foundation. It is a lot thinner in consistency and applies much easier than the Teint Idole Ultra, which I started to have a few issues with the more I wore it. However this one feels amazing and looks so flawless.

I’ve also been experimenting a bit more with liquid liners, and I think that I have perfected the wing for my hooded eyelids. Today I used the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, which is a brilliant product to use  however I think I prefer the Bourjois Liner. Both give very precise winged liner looks, however the Bourjois one is a lot more darker and stands out more against coloured eyeshadow.

What has been your favourite aspect of your makeup today?

Have a lovely day guys!
