Date Night Makeup Tutorial

Hi everyone how are you all today? I hope you’re all doing great.

I have been seeing this lovely guy now for a couple of months now; he asked me to be his girlfriend after our ninth date in a really sweet way which I’ll not get into.  Today I wanted to share with you the makeup look that I wore on our first official date as a real couple.

It was the first time we actually dressed up to meet each other too, which was different; in a good way.

Face

For foundation, I used the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation with the matching concealer under my eyes. This gave a healthy glow to the skin without looking cakey. I set the cream products using the Bare Minerals Bareskin Powder.

For bronzer, I buffed in the Dior Air Nude Glow Powder into my cheek bones and around my forehead. For blush I used my old faithful Models Own Rock n’ Rosy Blush in Warm Almond, which I still really love. And to highlight, I took the pink shade from Carly Bybel’s BH Cosmetics palette and dusted this over the tops of my cheeks.

Eyes

I wanted to create a deep pink smoky eye for the night, so I used my Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette for the entire eyeshadow look.

For brows, I ran the Lancome Sourcil Styler to give them some thickness and shape.

After setting my lid with a primer, I took the shade Tempera to set the primer, sweeping this all across the lid. In the crease, I then blended out a mixture of Golden Ochre and Burnt Orange to act as a transition shade. I then took Cyprus Umber and blended this out directly above the lighter shades. On the outer portion of my eye, I slowly built up a mixture of Red Ochre and Cyprus Umber to help smoke out the look. On the rest of the lid, I applied a light layer of Love Letter, which is stunning. Then, on a damp shadow brush I applied Venetian Red, blending out the edges with a touch more of Love Letter.

On my lower lashline I mixed a combination of Golden Ochre, Cyprus Umber and Red Ochre, keeping things very soft. In my inner corner a placed a tiny amount of Vermeer as a highlight.

To tightline my eyes I used my very battered Charlotte Tilbury Rock n Kohl Liner, and used the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner along my upper lash line.

For mascara, I used the PUR Cosmetics Fully Charged Mascara to give my lashes some length and volume.

Lips

For lipstick, I went for a brown-toned nude to try and draw attention towards my eyes. I used Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Double Dare. It’s a really beautiful colour which I love using at the moment.

I hope that you all have a lovely day, and take care!
