I was playing around with some newer makeup items and created this look. As what usually happens when I play, I created a very glam look which worked really well for one of the tutorials for my prom series.

This one is an aqua and taupe smoky eye with very neutral skin and lips.

Face

To help the foundation last a long time I used the Lancome La Base Pro and massaged this around my nose and cheeks, blending any extra around the rest of my face. Over this I blended out some of the Dior Forever Foundation using a sponge to give the most skin-like and flawless finish.

Under my eyes I took the Maybelline Erase Eye Concealer and blended this out with a slightly smaller sponge then set this using the Bare Minerals Bareskin Powder.

For bronzer I used my current favourite, Models Own Sculpt and Glow Matte Bronzer, buffing this under my cheeks and around my temples. To add a touch of flush to my cheeks I took a small amount of the Lancome Blush Subtil in Rose Paradis, blending it across the apples of my cheeks and up to my ear.

To highlight my cheeks I used the Urban Decay Afterhour Highlighter in Firebird which is one of my favourites at the moment.

Eyes

My eyebrows are still in quite good condition so I just brushed the Lancome Sourcil Styler through them to plump them up a bit.

On the eyes, I first applied my Body Shop Instablur EyesΒ before setting it with a bone coloured eyeshadow.

I then took the Natasha Denona Purple Blue Palette and placed the shade Cool Plum in the crease, blending it out really softly. Slightly lower, I took the shade Aubergine, blending this out into the crease.

With a damp eyeshadow brush, I packed the shade Grey-Brown to the inner half of my eye. Then on the outer half, I packed the shade Deep Pacific and Petroleum Blue, blending out the harsh edges into the crease shades. Using my finger, I placed a tiny amount of Calypso Blue in the area where the two shades met to blend them together better.

On the lower lash line I mixed Cool Plum, Aubergine, Deep Pacific and Calypso Blue to smoke out this area a fair bit. In the inner corner I placed a tiny amount of Glaze.

For mascara I used the brand new Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara. I love the name of this and it does give lovely thick and fluttery eyelashes.

Lipstick

I kept things simple with the lips and applied a light layer of the No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick in the shade Soft Cherry. This is a really flattering pink shade that doesn’t draw too much attention away from the eyes.

And that is my final prom look. What makeup did you wear for your proms?

Have a lovely day guys!
