A Glaswegian Mini-trip with my Mam

Hi guys! How are you all today.

My Mam and I had a few days up in Glasgow to see my sister on her birthday. I’m coming up again in a few weeks with my boyfriend but I’ll write about that another time.

So for this little trip up to sunny Scotland, I brought a minimal amount of makeup…. minimal for me that is! My Mam  and I were sharing a suitcase so space was pretty limited.

For my base I brought some old favourites. I have the Benefit Porefessional, which I actually bought up here. This is an ideal size for travelling and it’s still an awesome primer. For foundation I grabbed my current love; the Loreal True Match foundation. This just looks beautiful and flawless. The formula actually reminds me of the Dior Forever foundation. Both are rather thin but pack in the coverage. Of course, my concealer would have to be the Superdrug BB Eye Cream. I have gone through so many of these! I just can’t find one as good anywhere.

For powder, I bought my Make Up Forever Ultra HD Powder. I’m still getting used to this, but when I use it quite sparingly it looks beautiful and does an amazing job at setting my makeup.

To bronze up my skin I took my Bare Minerals Invisible Bronze in the shade Medium. This is the ideal bronzer for people who don’t like that orange look. It’s really natural with a subtle glow.

As for blush I brought along an older favourite in the form of Models Own Rock n Rosy Matte Blush in Warmed Almond. This is such a subtle pop of colour that worked really well with the bronzer and highlighter; which was Urban Decay’s Firebird.

For eyes, I wanted to keep my brushes to a minimum so chose to bring stick cream eyeshadow that van be blended out with fingers. The only stick eyeshadow that I own now are the Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks and Rosie Huntington Whitely’s Autgograph Eyeshadow Sticks. All are a beautiful sheer wash of colour for the eyelids.

Since my eyeshadow was kept very minimal I used a quite natural mascara on most days; Clinique’s Flutter to Full Mascara. If i went out I had my Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara to hand.

My lipsticks is where I lost all control! I took a fair few Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lipsticks and my Smashbox Liquid Lipsticks. Both of these are beautiful formulas that last all day.

What do you take on mini break holidays?

Have a lovely day guys and take care!
