Disappointing Products

Disapointing Products #4

Hi guys.

Unfortunately I have another disapointing products post. One of the joys of testing makeup as a hobby is that you come across a few products that don’t live up to the hype. Everybody is different, so these products may work for you; however I found a few issues with them.

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer

I have enjoyed using this in the past, however I’ve noticed that as of late I am mildly allergic to this. I get red patches under my eyes if I wear this for a few days, which is such a shame because it is a beautiful concealer. Unfortunately I will have to bin mine. These are one product that I wouldn’t feel comfortable passing on because the sponge tip is quite gross and has been used near my eyes.

Nars Lip Lacquer

This was a limited edition product last year and I just don’t like the formula. The colours are beautiful but for some reason this will end up all over my face after an hour of wearing it. It’s so weird. This smudges like crazy. Just buy the regular lip glosses; they are much better.

ELF Matte Magic Mist and Set

This is meant to make your face appear matte and keep your makeup looking fresh for longer. neither of these claims came true for me. If anything this broke down my makeup and it faded away much quicker than normal. This is one big nope from me.

MUA Pro Base Eye Primer

After reading a few reviews for this I was hoping that it would help my eye makeup last longer. It didn’t. The only thing that it did well was coneal any redness on my eyelid, but I could get that effect from any concealer. I just was expecting so much more from this.

Rimmel Extra 3D Lash

I really didn’t get on with this mascara. It has such a strange plastic wand that actually hurts when I apply it. And for something claiming to give voluminous lashes, this doesn’t really do much for me. It’s great for natural makeup days, but for more intense looks, you’re better off with another Rimmel Mascara.

What are your opinions on these products? Did any of them work out for you?

I hope that you all have a good day.

Take care!
