Weekly Favourites| August #1

I cannot believe how fast this year is going. We’re already into August? How is that possible? Autumn will be arriving in a few weeks, and it will be Christmas very soon. very scary thought!

Today I have five more beauty favourites from the past week.

YSL Youth Liberator

I have a review of this coming up tomorrow so I won’t go into too much detail here. Yes, this is a pricey foundation but it’s beautiful. It looks gorgeous on the skin. I’ve actually found that the best way to apply this is with your fingers. Yes, a brush and sponge work too, but fingers is the way that I prefer if I’m honest.

Stila Heavens Hue Highlighter

I have the shade Transcendence which is a gorgeous holographic purple shade. It’s so pretty and applies beautifully. I tend to apply this with my fingers to get a very natural look although this can become very intense very quickly. I love the shade and I do fancy trying the other shades out one day.

B. Nourished Eye Cream

B. is a brand exclusive to Superdrug. My well loved Body Shop eye cream was beginning to dry out my lower eye area so I switched it with this about two weeks ago. I noticed a massive difference in my eyes almost straight away but wanted to keep using it until I knew it had eliminated the dry patches. This is quite a thin cream and blends away to nothing, however you feel it working as soon as you apply it. It gives a very comfortable tingle, and makeup applies brilliantly over the top.

Makeup Forever Aqua Lip

This is a very pretty lip lacquer formula. It does apply very glossy but it isn’t sticky. Yes it will smudge if you’re not careful but the colour is beautiful. I have it in a cherry red shade which is one of my favourite lip shades at the moment.

Too Faced Natural Love

I had points on my Debenhams card and treat myself to this monster of a palette. The shades are gorgeous and blend out beautifully. It’s definitely worth grabbing if you love a good neutral eyeshadow look. I am loving the shade Honey Pot at the moment. It’s such a flattering shade.

So those are my weekly favourites. I will be back next Sunday with some more. Have a lovely day guys!
