I really do have a love-hate relationship with liquid lipsticks. On a number of occasions I have found the formulas to be quite drying and wreck havoc on my already dry lips. Even with lip balms and oils my lips do dry out really quickly. Liquid lipsticks really do need to do something special to impress me.
Beauty Bay had a special offer on Ofra products the other week and I have had my eye on Kathleen Light’s vampy red shade, Havana Nights, for months. These normally cost £11 but I got mine for £7.70 with the offer at the time.
I have heard that Ofra’s Long Lasting Liquid Lipsticks are quite moiturising and wear comfortably throughout the day. However they also said that about Jeffree Stars’ Velour Liquid Lipsticks, and you know how I feel about them!
I wore this today, and I was surprised at how comfortable it felt. It wasn’t drying at all and seemed to have a semi-matte finish whilst behaving like a matte lipstick. This did dry down really quick, and didn’t smudge too drastically; which was my worry with it being a dark burgundy red.
The colour is beautiful and this formula is making me want to try more of their range. However, I plan on not buying any makeup over August. And I’m saving up for something, so impulsive makeup purchases are out the window for a little while.
What shades have you tried from Ofra’s range?
Have a lovely day guys!
