Glamour Magazine released the upcoming makeup trends for the cooler months, and I’m really excited. There are quite a few trends that I can really see myself doing. Yes, I don’t tend to follow trends and do my own thing…. However these look really gorgeous!
Here are some of the upcoming trends for Autumn and Winter of 2017.
Bold lip trends really don’t go away do they? However from the images of fashion week, the darker lip shades are back. Bring out your inner vamp and give this trend a go. I love wearing darker berry shades in the Autumn, so this is one trend that I can see myself supporting.
However, I did notice a change from last years vampy lip trend. There were more glossy stains on the runway compared to the matte trend from last year. This makes quite an interesting change since matte tends to dominate in the winter.

There is something really lovely about the minimalist no makeup look. On good skin days, I do love to just pop on a bit mascara and a lip gloss. This is such a lovely trend, and it’s nice to see looks using very little makeup in the fashion world. I feel like there has been such a push for graphic looks in magazines lately that this makes a really nice change.
Ideal Products: Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue, Nars Sheer Glow.
Smoky eyes are a very traditional makeup look anyway however I have noticed that this smoky trend has a subtle difference from the traditional smoky look. There are pops of colour within then. From coloured liner or mascara to a pop of colour on the lids, this trend looks beautiful. It’s that little difference from tradition that makes this makeup look so beautiful. I actually can’t wait to start using my greens and pinks in Autumn.
Ideal Products: ABH Subculture, Bare Minerals Bare Naturals, Juvia’s Place The Saharan.
This trend looks amazing on the runway, but I don’t know how successful it will be for everyday looks. However, it does inspire me to try and master my feline flick this winter. One day, I will not get it looking wonky!
Ideal Products: L’Oreal Precision Liner, No7 Stay Perfect Gel Liner
People are getting creative with glitter. This will look amazing over the Christmas season. I love a bit of glitter in the centre of my eyelids. I couldn’t really pull off a glittery teardrop running down my face on an everyday basis.
Ideal Products: Stila Magnificent Liquid Metals, MAC Pure Pigments
The trends this year sound and look amazing. Which ones will you be embracing in your makeup routines?
Have a lovely day guys!
