China Doll Inspired Makeup Tutorial

I was playing with my makeup the other day and came up with this makeup look. It reminded me a lot of those china dolls you could get as a child. I know that I’m a bit early for Halloween, but I think this would be a pretty cool makeup look for a Halloween party.

I hope that you enjoy this makeup look anyway, and have a lovely day.

For foundation I buffed the Clinique Superbalance into my skin with a buffing brush, and used the Bare Minerals Stroke of Light concealer under my eyes. I set everything using the Makeup Forever Ultra HD Powder.

To bronze up my face I took the No7 Perfectly Bronzed Dual Bronzer. This is quite a pale bronzer, but it added just enough colour to my skin to add a touch of definition. For blush I used an old favourite from Urban Decay; the Afterhour blush in Bang. I concentrated this on my cheeks, and buffed out the excess.

To highlight I used the No7 Shimmer Palette in Rose, which looks beautiful and subtle.

For my eyeshadow I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette. I first used the shade Dawn to set my lid area.

In the crease, I first took the shades Edge and New Wave, and blended them out into the crease. Just under that I then applied the shade Destiny, blending everything out quite softly. I also buffed this along my lower lash line.

Then with a damp shadow brush I packed the shade Electric across my lid. To intensify the glitter slightly I used a hint of Stilas Magnificent Liquid Metals in Kitten Karma, concentrating this in the centre of my lid. In my inner corner I then packed the shade Cube.

I then took the L’Oreal Superliner and drew a thin line along my upper lashes. I finished off the eyes with a few coats of Urban Decay’s Perversion Mascara.

For lipstick I used the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink in the shade Pioneer. This is a very intense red colour that went well with the green eyeshadow.

It is a month until Halloween guys. What are you thinking about dressing up as?

Have a nice day!
