This will be the last new makeup items that I will be buying for a while. Me and Mark finally found a house that we love and we put the deposit down last month. For the next few months I will be spending money on house things.
I used a lot of new makeup today and I wanted to share my thoughts on them.
Bare Minerals Blemish Remedy Primer
I have had this for a while, but I never use it. When I purchased the foundation on this list, I was advised to used this primer with it. My skin has been oily around my t-zone lately so I patted a small amount of this in those areas. This did a great job at absorbing the oil, and it made a nice tacky base for the foundation to cling to.
Bare Minerals Bare Pro Liquid Foundation
You guys all know my hatred of the Bare Pro powder. However, I wanted to give this a try since it is Bare Minerals’ first full coverage foundation. My face has started getting red and blotchy (thank you hayfever) so I needed something to cover these areas. This looks flawless on the skin and gives a beautiful full coverage without looking cakey. I will do a full review of this at a later date once I have played with it more.
Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue
Yes, I repurchased this to help with my dry skin. I do really like this, and I have been mixing it with Bare pro to add a bit more moisture to the skin since Bare Pro can be a little drying at times. Together, these two formulas work really well. On it’s own complexion rescue gives a lovely light coverage and doesn’t cake up in my dry patches. It is gorgeous.
Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette
Yes, I gave in and bought this palette *smack smack!* This is an ideal palette for autumn. The shades are very rustic and orange; colours that I love. They blend beautifully, especially the mattes. When I was using this at Mark’s I did find the shimmers a tad patchy, however with more use they have become just as pigmented as the matte shades. Again, I will do a full review of this later.
Clinique Santorini Pop
Clinique released new shades in the Colour Pop line, and this shade is my perfect Autumnal shade. It looks gorgeous and the formula is really hydrating. With it being glossy, I can’t wear this on dates however it’s a lovely everyday shade when I am on my own.
So those are my first impressions of a few new purchases. Have you tried any of these things?
Also, if you would like to see a few more homewear related posts, let me know and I’ll start putting them into my October schedule.
Thanks for reading, and have a lovely day!
