Makeup of the day

MOTD: Soft Turquoise and Lilac

Hi everyone, how are you all today?

I was playing around with bits of makeup and came up with this look, which I actually really love. I used some old favourites in this look, and a few that I really should show a bit more love to.

Clinique Superbalanced Foundation

I use this every now and again if I am having a really good skin day. This leaves a lovely satin finish to the skin however it does feel quite thick. This used to be a huge favourite for me as a teenager however I have found other formulas that I actually love a bit more. This is still lovely, but I can feel my skin dehydrate slightly as the day goes on.

Smashbox Contour Sticks

I need to use these more to chisel out my cheek bones. They are beautiful! I used the medium shade under my cheekbones and along my jawline to give my round head a bit more shape. They look really natural too; definitely something that I will reach for more.

Natasha Denona 28 Purple Blue Palette

What more can I say about this palette? It is stunning! The shades blend out so well and you can create a never ending list of different looks. I used the lighter purple and lilac shades on my upper lid and the bright turquoise shade along my lower lashes. If you have the cash, definitely buy this. It is worth every penny!

PUR Cosmetics Fully Charged Mascara

Why did I stop using this? It gives gorgeous, fluttery and long lashes. It doesn’t clump and really framed my eyes. I’m going to start using this more as my everyday mascara. It is beautiful!

Body Shop Liquid Liner

This has the skinniest liner tip ever! You can get very precise with this and really hug the lash line however I found the tip really tricky to create a wing; hence why I just drew a tiny line along my upper lashes. With practice I’m sure it would work really well, but it was too fiddly for me at this moment.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick: Peacock

These are waterproof, so I gave this a try in my waterline to spice up my lower lash line. It did work really well and lashed a really long time in my lower waterline. I don’t think that I could do this regularly, but it looked beautiful with this look; I think that it may irritate my eyes after excessive wear in that area.

Stila Stay all Day Liquid Lipstick: Tesoro

This colour is beautiful. I really love bright, orange-toned reds. They are stunning! I did find the formula a little drying however not uncomfortable. This formula does last a fair while without crumbling.

What are your favourite makeup items on your face today?

Have a lovely day guys!
