Makeup of the day

Minimalist Makeup of the Day

We all get those days where we don’t really fancy playing around with makeup and just slap something simple on to go about our everyday business.

Yes, there are probably a few more products here to be considered a true minimalist makeup look, but these are the products that I used today.

YSL Youth Liberator Serum Foundation

This is still such a staple in my collection. It gives such a beautiful finish to the skin without looking cakey. It’s a lovely, glowy medium coverage foundation. If you do have the extra cash, splurge on this; it’s beautiful.

Superdrug BB Eye Cream 5 in 1

I have gone back to using this concealer and I wish that I had never stopped. This covers everything and feels really gentle on the under-eye area. It blends out really easily with a sponge or brush. It is one of those must-have products in my collection.

Makeup Forever Ultra HD Powder

This is a really nice light powder that sets everything into place. I don’t really notice much difference between this and my other setting powders, but it does the job well.

Dior Air Nude Bronzer in 01

This has hit pan hard now! I have started using this more and more over the past few weeks and it is still just as beautiful to work with as it was on the day that I bought it. The packaging is beautiful and it looks gorgeous to warm up the face a touch.

Bare Minerals Golden Gate Blush

This is a subtle pop of warm peachy colour. It is my favourite current blush from Bare Minerals; I find it such a flattering colour on me. It’s going to be one of those most reached for products in the colder months because it does add a fair amount of colour without being over-powering.

Nars Narsissist Palette

I used this to warm up my eyelids slightly. My eyes have been a bit sore lately so I didn’t want to use too much colour on them. These colours are beautiful for a sublte warm wash of colour. I still love this palette a lot.

Body Shop Eye Widening Lash Reviver in Baltic Deep Amber

I am still trying to figure out if I love this mascara or not. It gives a very natural look to the lashes and doesn’t clump them up. However it doesn’t really give much length to my lashes. I will keep playing with it and see if anything changes.

Benefit Precisely Brows Pencil

This is an old favourite, and I don’t really need to say much here. This draws hairs beautifully and makes eyebrows look full and natural.

Bourjois Rouge Velvet Lipstick in Hyppink Chic

This is such a gorgeous, flattering shade for my lips. It looks really natural and lasts such a long time on the lips without crumbling or looking weird. This is definitely one of my favourites in the collection.

What products do you guys use in your minimalist makeup routines?

Have a lovely day!
