30 Days of Makeup: Winter Inspired

Today’s challenge was to create a Winter inspired look. To me, Winter is the time for cool tones and glitter. On camera, this look did look pretty cool, however it did look a bit of a mess in person. I did go a bit overboard on the glitter. But the great thing about makeup is that we can wash away our mistakes. It is not the end of the world if your makeup doesn’t work out the way you envisioned it. I did keep it on because with a touch of cotton buds and weartime, the OTT-ness of this glittery look did tone down.

On my eyes, I used an old favourite palette; the Smashbox Double Exposure palette. This palette was definitely created for winter; it is such a gorgeous cool toned palette. I used the muted matte purple tones and black in the crease, and a rose gold shimmer on the lid. Over this I used the Stila Magnificent Metals in Kitten Karma over the entire lid.

For the wing, I used the Tanya Burr Liquid Liner. This is such a wet formula, but with a lot of fanning down, it dried really well.

On my lips I used the gorgeous Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in Rubi Cute. This is such a beautiful Winter red colour. I absolutely love it.

Although there are things that I would change with this look, it isn’t the worst look that I have ever done.

Have a lovely day guys, and take care.
