Christmas Makeup Look Tutorial

Hi everyone; I’m back!

December has just been so busy, I haven’t had much time to plan blog posts. However, I am back with a brand new tutorial. This one used really Christmassy golds, reds and greens. I really loved how this one turned out, and I hope that you guys do too.

For foundation, I used my old faithful Bare Minerals Bare Pro Liquid, applying it with a blending sponge to create a more natural look. Under my eyes I used a tiny amount of Kat Von D’s Lock It Concealer, blending out with the same sponge. To set everything into place I used an old favourite; Bourjois’ Rice Setting Powder. I haven’t used this in so long; I forgot how much I actually liked it. It adds a subtle glitter to the face which is ideal for Christmas.

To bronze up my face, I used the last of my well-loved Liz Earle Radiant Glow Bronzer. For blush I lightly buffed the Nars Blush in Dolce Vita onto the apples of my cheeks. To finish off my cheeks I used the Makeup Revolution Amplified Palette in Brighter Than my Future. I took the shade Extra along my cheekbones. This shade is a great dupe for Becca’s Prosecco Pop.

I finished off the face with a few spritz of Urban Decay’s All Nighter Spray.

And onto the star of the show…. the eyes!

I filled in my eyebrows with the Maybelline Brow Drama Pencil and Powder. This is another favourite that I recently got back into. In my opinion, it gives the most natural looking brows ever. I love it! Under the brow bone I used a tiny amount of the shade Slay from the highlighter palette from earlier.

To prime my eyes I used the Body Shop’s Insta-blur Eye Primer, and set it in place with the shade Amen from Kat Von D’s Saints and Sinners palette.

In the crease I first buffed out the shade Martyr. Since the main colour on the lid is going to be red, I wanted a dark base for it to stick to. I used the shade Crucifix on a dampened eyeshadow brush, blending out the edges into the crease shade from earlier.

I then packed the shade Stigmata over the dark brown shade, blending out the edges with a tiny amount of Crucifix.

On my lower lash line, I mixed the two brown shades Martyr and Crucifix, buffing this out as much as I could, then topped it with the green shade Vestment. In my tearduct area, I used the shade Relic with a tiny pencil brush.

To finish off the lids, I used the Maybelline x Gigi Hadid Liquid Eyeliner in Black to create a subtle wing. I then finished my eyes with the Gigi Hadid Fibre Mascara. This isn’t too bad a mascara, but I can think of others that give much fuller looking lashes without the need of fibres.

There is nothing more Christmassy to me, in regards to makeup, than a bright red lip. I recently bought the lip kits Maybelline released with the Gigi hadid collection, and decided to use my favourite one in this look. I took the Lani kit’s lip liner, and slightly overlined my lips, and followed this with the matching lipstick.

To finish off the lips, I added a tiny amount of The Body Shop’s Metallic Liquid Lip in Scarlet Steel to the centre of my lip to highlight it slightly.

And that is my finished look. What makeup will you be wearing over Christmas this year?

Have a lovely day guys, and take care!
