Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette Review

This was the month that I decided to purchase a few new palettes; both from Depop. I did this to save a bit of money, and I don’t mind buying second hand makeup.

I purchased this for £30, and it usually retails at £37. It is definitely a genuine palette, as the seller had her receipt from Beauty Bay on the advert. When I buy on Depop I tend to ask for a proof of purchase, and I try to provide mine when I sell anything on there.

Like with Violet Voss, I haven’t tried any of Morphe’s other palettes before, although I have got my eye on the 35O2 palette. You guys know how much I love blues, turquoise and gold shades, as well as being a huge fan of Jaclyn Hill. This palette was a must have.

The palette has 18 shimmers and 17 mattes. The range of shades means that you could get away with just using this for a complete look. There are some gorgeous looking transition shades, and I love how there is a matte black. I’ve been using black eyeshadow as eyeliner a lot lately, since it doesn’t irritate my eyes as much as kohl eyeliner.

Left to Right: Enlight, Beam, Silk Creme, MFEO, Faint, Sissy and Little Lady
Left to Right: Creamsickle, Butter, Pooter, Pukey, Hunts, Firework and Queen
Obsessed, SBN, Hillster, Roxanne, Jacx, Buns and Cranapple
Royalty, Twerk, Hustle, Meeks, 24/7, Chip and Mocha
Pool Party, Jada, Diva, Enchanted, Central Park, Soda Pop and Abyss

All shades swatched beautifully and look so pigmented. I have used the palette in a few looks now since I purchased it and I love how every shade melts into each other. The mattes are so creamy and rich; they are perfect transition shades. The shimmers are gorgeous too. They apply really easily to the lid and are effortless to blend out into the transition shades. Every shade is really long lasting without the need for a primer too. I have been really impressed so far.

This palette is still available on Beauty Bay, so I’d definitely recommend buying it if you have been eyeing it up. It has made me want to get creative with eyeshadow again.

What has been your favourite palettes lately?

Have a lovely day!
