Hi everyone, how are you all today?
I have that much makeup, that I sometimes forget about some previously well-loved products. Today I mixed some newer products with some of these old loves and came up with a pretty simple makeup look. I couldn’t wear too much because my eyes have been quite sore and watery lately.
Since it’s been a while since I used a lot of these items, I’ve given any new opinions with them as I’ve used each one.
Kat Von D Lock-It Primer
I bought this a few months ago and used it religiously for the first month then pushed it aside to try other things. This primer is a lovely base for dry skin. It didn’t really do anything for the longevity of my makeup, but I love it as a light moisturiser.
Max Factor Healthy Skin Harmony Foundation
This is a new product to me which I’ve been testing out a few weeks. This is a gorgeous medium coverage foundation. My favourite way to apply this is with a sponge. I feel that it does last a fair while, but I do notice a bit of patchiness around my nose and eyes as the day draws to a close. It is a really nice product and I will continue to use it and see if other primers make a difference for the longevity.
MUA Prism Highlighter
This is another new product. I absolutely love this highlighter! It is so shimmery but doesn’t have huge chunks of glitter in it. It blends out beautifully and a little product goes a really long way. I have the blue and pink shades and the blue one is my favourite since it’s so different to everything else in my collection.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eyeshadows
I have had this for so long and I love the formula of these still. They blend out so seamlessly and last such a long time on the lids. If you do want a dupe for the MAC Paintpots, these are pretty much the same, but they last longer on the lids.
Revlon Color Stay Cream Eyeshadow
I purchased these for a review ages ago and haven’t really used them since. I used these in my outer eye to smoke out the pink shade slightly. These blend out really well but they are a little patchier than the Maybelline formula. With a bit of time and effort, this did look just as good though.
Lancome Grandiose Mascara
This mascara is still awesome. I love the formula and it makes my lashes look really long and fluttery. This didn’t smudge on my upper lash line at all and it did survive through my watery eye moments. I will be using this a bit more in the future; or at least repurchase it because this is quite old now!
Clinique Flutter to Full Mascara
It’s no secret that I really love this mascara. It is quite water resistant , although it’s not advertised as being. I love this for my lower lashes; it doesn’t smudge or transfer throughout the day.
MAC Lipstick in Plumful
This was one of the first MAC lipsticks that I bought. It still holds up after all this time, however it isn’t a long lasting formula, so I did have to reapply this a few times throughout the day. I still love the colour; Plumful is a very pretty your lips but better colour. I absolutely love it.
What old favourites have you reached for lately?
Have a lovely day, and take care.
