Blush was one of those things that used to terrify me when I first got into makeup. I always thought that it made me look like a clown. Sometimes, I think it still can, but I’m a lot more confident with it these days.
These ten blushers are currently my favourites.
I have been using this a fair amount over the Summer. It is such a pretty, subtle coral shade. It blends out so naturally and leaves a really lovely glow on the cheeks. It reminds me a lot of Majorette with a touch more sparkle. It looks beautiful.
Clinique Ginger Pop
I have made quite a big dip in this one lately. This is very similar to Galifornia, but it has a much stronger terracotta undertone. It’s very warm but looks quite sheer on the cheeks. I have loved wearing it in the Summer, but I think it would be an ideal Autumn shade with it’s warm tones.
Lancome Cushion Blush: Rose Givrée
This is definitely one of the more natural flush shades on this list, and the only cream shade here. I apply this with a stippling brush and it looks really natural. This blends out really easily, but a little goes a long way.
These are available as single blush shades but I have this in the duo with Champagne Pop. Flowerchild is very pink and has quite an impact’; it is so pigmented and easy to go wrong. However if worn sheer, this looks beautiful. I tend to wear this on days with light, neutral eyeshadow.
Avon Doll Face
Yet another duo product, but I much prefer the blush to the highlighter. The blush is really pale and ideal for intense eyeshadow days. It gives a natural flush but leaves an impression of something being there. It’s so pretty.
Urban Decay Afterhour: Fetish
This is my favourite natural blush shade. It has a very pretty warm undertone and suits a lot of makeup looks. If I could get rid of every blush in my collection, I would keep this one.
Clinique Peach Pop
This is a gorgeous peachy pink shade. It’s perfect for all year round and I love the packaging. This is a beautiful shade, but it applies very sheer and isn’t too in your face; however you can tell that you have a pop of colour on your cheeks.
Models Own Rock n’ Rosy: Sienna
Who remembers my old ride or die blush from Bare Minerals? I adored Swoon and wore it pretty much every day. This is a very similar shade but in a pressed form. I love this shade a lot and it looks so gorgeous on the cheeks.
Charlotte Tilbury Love is the Drug
I do save this one for special occassions but it’s such a beautiful bright pink. I have worn this quite a lot and it hasn’t even dipped in the pan yet. This formula blends out really easily and it looks gorgeous with an evening look.
Lancome Rose Paradise
This is such a bright pink shade. I got this as a freebie at Debenhams a few months ago, and it isn’t a shade that I normally would have bought. It is such a luminous bright pink! However this blends out quite sheer and gives a lovely pop of colour to the cheeks. I have loved wearing this quite recently.
What are your favourite blush shades?
Have a nice day guys, and take care.
